How to Colorize Photoshop Brushes

your tutorial is great. But it have a drawback.
my question is
if we change the back ground color how these brushe colorization works

when i set up the blank layer and than choose the brush it’s not coming up on the layer

Oh my god, thank you for telling me about the transparency lock!! I have Photoshop Elements 5 and that is one of the buttons it has in common with "real" Photoshop (yay), but I didn’t know what it did. I could have saved countless hours with that one button alone. Tutorials are great, and this one has solved several problems I have had in one go.
