Description:

  • 23 textures made using monoprint techniques.
  • Varying patterns and paint coverage.
  • All brushes are in 72dpi quality (A3).
  • Made in Photoshop CS3. If it works on older versions, please tell me.

This was fun to make, but HELL to scan. I was sitting at the scanner for 3+ hours to scan these & the footprint brushes. The paint was still wet on most of them meaning I had to clean the glass between each scan. Original scans are 600dpi.

Special thanks to Anders Fagerhus for letting me scan two of his prints as well.

Tip: When simulating painted effects, the multiply blending mode is your friend.

//// Usage:
You may not use the brushes for any commercial work without my permission (just ask).

//// Distribution:
Please do not repack or redistribute the brushes without my permission. The brushes can be downloaded free from this location.

Hey Chain, with your permission, I’d really love to use these brushes… I do a lot of volunteer & service oriented projects because I direct a community organization, but I’m also a photographer. I’d definitely love to hear what you think! Thanks!

Hey, love the brushes. Hehe, and thanks for the effort, gotta say, three hours of scanning… shudder

I design tee shirts, and I was wondering if I may have your permission to use your work. It would be much appreciated, and I would have no qualms as to giving you credit. Thanks much:)

HI Chain,

These are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. I was thinking of using the texture for my personal blog site, but also might have some use on my business web site. Can you please be so kind to let me know what it takes to use it commercially?

Thanks again!

Hi, these are great brushes, thanks so much for creating them and sharing them. Do you allow digital scrapbook designers to use your brushes for creating commercial use items? I’d like to use some of these brushes to create some textured supplies if you’ll allow me to. At the moment I don’t sell my creations I just give them away to digi scrappers who want them, however, I always give credit to anyone who’s work I’ve used (with their permission of course)and follow any I’d follow any other tou’s that you have. If you could email me to discuss this I’d be very grateful. Once again thanks for the fab brushes! ~Sassy

Hey, thanks for taking the time (sounds like it was a lot of it) to make and scan these for us! They’re great.
