Nutritional scientists warn that milled grains aren't a great food choice. Removing the outer hulls or husks from grains takes away the majority of their good nutrients. Is it really logical to eliminate the nutrients and then try to restore them by purchasing fiber additives to make the grain more nutritious? No, it's much more productive for people to get necessary nutrients from the food they eat.
Organic food is much in the news these days and many of us are paying attention, as we should. Eating organically grown foods maximizes the nutrients we receive. One reason is that the soil on an organic farm is richer in the nutrients we need, which then imparts these nutrients into the food that we eat.
If you are dealing with a picky eater, try to give them smaller portions at each meal. By doing this, they won't feel overwhelmed with the amount of food in front of them and if they are hungry, they will be more inclined to eat their entire meal since it is not a huge serving size.
You should always let your little one be your helper when deciding what foods to purchase or cook. Let them pick out their favorite fruits and vegetables. When you get home, you can have them rinse the fruits and veggies and get rid of any waste once you are finished chopping them up.
