Rope Brush
I was recently asked to create a rope brush similar to my chain brush and this is the result. Like the chain it’s pen-pressure sensitive, meaning you can adjust the size by how hard you press with a pen/tablet combination.
This is currently a work in progress, I’m having trouble finding the best angle to create the segments at to prevent, or at best reduce, the breaking when drawing sharp curves. Currently it is best used at a smaller size to prevent the problems from being too visible.
I’d really appreciate feedback for this via the comments below so I can gain input to help me get it right.

Cool brush brah. Thanks a lot for your dedication to make it.
does not work with cs3 :(
need CSH file.. :/
This brush is freaking genius!! :DD
You can make it change colors by going to the Brush Window (Windows>Brush), then the Brush tab, and playing around with the Color Dynamics. You can't predict it completely, but it won't be one flat color that way.
This brush is great! Thank you for making it!
Thanx I Like it!
I like it! TY~
I don't think so since you can't define individual colours when created the brush.
The only way I can see to do it is to maybe increase the spacing of the brush create a path in one colour, then duplicate that, set the colour overlay to be another colour and position by hand so that the colours alternate.
man, this is great, i would love a two color one! If you have the time...
to define a red-white rope for example... is this possible?
this is awesome thanks!
